BBA Developments

This project is one of our favourites.

BBA Developments, a modern development firm based in South Cambridgeshire, saw beauty in these 3 old dilapidated barns. They knew they could be turned into 3 beautiful houses using the right design.

They re-designed the buildings to add in 1st floors and extensions where needed whilst keeping true to the antique buildings heritage.

To complete the design quickly, efficiently and to provide much needed structural support for the old building work they decided to use internal steel frames.

From order to delivery, working together we managed to do the design detailing, all of the fabrication and get all of the steel to site within 2 weeks! The BBA team then erected the steels onsite within a few days.

Out of the 3 barns the only issue onsite was one singular hole being out of align, which stopped the BBA team being able to bolt through. We quickly reacted and sent one of operatives down to site within 48 hours to re-drill the hole onsite, a quick and easy solution.

This project is one of our favourites because not only are they going to be absolutely stunning renovations and something we are proud to be a part of but it also shows how quickly we can turn your project around. Even 3 large barn conversions! And even if any issues do crop up Steels Direct will always do our best to solve the problem, quickly and efficiently.

Being a construction company we often deal with steel fabricators. I can honestly say Steels Direct stick out as being the best by far!

Great customer service, nothing was too much trouble and always easy to contact. Steels all of great qulity delivered on fabricated fast and delivered on time. All of that together with the fact their pricing is very competitive means we we certainly be returning so Direct Steels for the next project.
